This one needs no introduction. Mickey Spillane introduced Mike Hammer to a waiting world in 1947 and literature hasn’t been the same since. This is the very first time this novel has been available as an unabridged audiobook, containing 100% of Spillane’s original fiery text. Available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.
Today, Simon & Schuster released my audiobook narration of Mickey Spillane’s I, The Jury. This was the very first Mike Hammer novel and in fact, was the first and bestselling novel of Spillane’s sixty-year career.
My journey began about a year ago when I noticed the book had no modern downloadable audiobook attached to it. After an extremely tedious process of running down blind alleys and pursuing phantom contacts, I was finally chosen to narrate this iconic novel, and now, here it is in the digital flesh. This is the first time ever the book has been available in unabridged audio form. Many years ago, there was a heavily-abridged audiocassette narrated by Stacy Keach, who played Mike Hammer on television for years.
My latest narration, Matanzas Bay by Parker Francis, is now available in audiobook form. It’s a contemporary private eye tale set in St Augustine, Florida. Anyone who likes a well-written crime fiction tale should check it out. Go here and listen to the audio sample, then buy it, for cryin’ out loud!
